You'll find all official releases (physical and digital), promo info (as much as possible) and the odd coverversion, chart position and important trivia.

France - J'ai cherché - Amir

On intercalary day France 2 announced Amir as the Eurovision representative the country in the 2016 contest with the song J'ai Cherché (I have been searching). The song is in French and English.
It has been written by Nazim Khaled, Johan Errami and Amir Haddad himself.

J'ai Cherché was first released as a digital single (the longer radio edit).
It is also included on the new album Au Cœur De Moi, out on April 29.

Remix DRI

Remixes
There's a remix on the promo (The Story Tellers remix) and a remix released on June 24.
The latter is the Tom Maiz remix, available through various digital stores. (Update: The Tom Maiz remix is releasion on the album Au Cœur De Moi (Edition Collector) out on 11 November.

A Star Is Born
In 2006 Amir (Amir Haddad) participated in the Israeli version of talent show A Star Is Born (Kokhav Nolad), the show that already gave us Eurovision stars Shiri Maimon, Harel Skaat, Boaz Mauda and Mei Finegold.
But his star really started rising after his third place in The Voice - La Plus Belle Voix (2014).
In 2015 he scored a minor radio hit in France with Oasis. His 'The Voice' version of John Legends All Of Me also charted.
His only album (until 2016's Au Cœur De Moi) is Vayehi from 2011, with songs in Hebrew, released in Israel.

Au Cœur De Moi
Amir release his album Au Cœur De Moi on April 29 (see tracklist below) and a deluxe edition is out on November 11.
The deluxe edition subtitled Edition Collector features 7 bonus tracks including several versions of the Eurovision hit. See below for full tracklist.
The set includes a DVD with clips of J'ai Cherché and follow up single On Dirait as well as an interview and the acoustic session where most of the bomus tracks come from.
The new edition will be released on CD/DVD and of course digitally. There's also a special collectors box with a beanie hat and a poster in a deluxe box.
Ahead of the album release the acoustic version of J'ai Cherché is released as a single track on Oktober 7.

A vinyl LP,  R3ssources, with new acoustic versions was released in September 2022. Also on a 3CD set with the original Ressources album & deluxe bonus tracks. 

It includes the new R3ssources version of J'ai Cherché.

San Marino - I Didn't Know - Serhat

San Marino surprisingly sent a Turkish singer to the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm.
The singer is Serhat (Ahmet Serhat Hacıpaşalıoğlu) and his song is titled I Didn't Know.

The Eurovision entry is written by Olcayto Ahmet Tugsuz and lyricist Nektarios Tyrakis.

The song is in English but is also recorded in Italian (Non Ero Io), French (Comment savoir) and other languages*

The original I Didn't Know was revealed on March 9, But later it was decided to change the version going to Stockholm.
The so called Disco version is an edit of the Club remix of the first released digital EP, a second EP with new mixes was released on April 8.
It now has the Eurovision version (a.k.a The Disco version edit) as the lead track.
The original version is now named the Love version.

That's How I Feel

In 2019 Serhat released his album That's How I Feel. A promo cds was made and in 2022 a 2LP version was released in Turkey. In August 2022 a 2CD version was released as well.

2017 Martha Wash

A new version recorded with none other than Martha Wash of The Weather Girls fame is released on November 3. Out digitally through Cap Sounds. CDsingles are also available (CAP sounds, no cat.numbers)
The cdsingle and  digital release has five versions of the song.

Martha Wash was one of the Weather Girls who had a legendary hit with It's Raining Men in 1982. She's also the voice on 90's dance anthems like Gonna Make You Sweat  by C+C Music Factory plus Everybody Everybody and Fantasy by Blackbox.

Serhat

Serhat (Ahmet Serhat Hacıpaşalıoğlu) is a singer, dentist, producer and TRT TV host from Istanbul. He started his TV career in 1994 and cut his first single in 1997.  In 2004 he recorded a single Total Disguise with one time Eurovision host Viktor Lazlo.

His most recent outing is Je m'Adore (in French).

The songwriters:
Tugsuz already gave us some classic Turkish entries: Hani (1982) and Şarkım Sevgi Üstüne (1987).

Tyrakis wrote the lyrics to Saki's Shake it (Greece 2004) and Love Me Tonight (Angelica Agurbash, Belarus 2005)
